We are pleased to announce our regular Autumn Term Chinese Music Programme in partnership with the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Located in the heart of London, with excellent resources and experienced, professional tutors (master’s degree and above for their instruments), the courses include an ensemble class for the first time, offering participants a platform to practice as a group.
We encourage all who are interested in Chinese music to join us in this friendly and skill-building environment. Tutors are DBS checked and we welcome children from age eight and above.
我们与伦敦大学亚非学院SOAS 合作开设定期的2026 秋季中国音乐课程安排（周六）。这些课程位于伦敦市中心，资源丰富，由经验丰富且专业的导师授课（导师均拥有硕士及以上学位），并首次包括合奏课，为学员提供了一个集体演习合奏课的平台。
我们鼓励所有对中国音乐感兴趣的人加入这个友好且技能提升的学习环境。 所有导师均通过了DBS审核，欢迎8岁及以上的儿童报名加。

Ensemble Class
合奏课 (1 hour 30 min. per session)

SOAS, Room G52 – from 12.15 am to 1.45 pm
Ensemble classes requires participants to have at least level 3 or 4 grades in a Chinese instrument, but no ensemble experience is needed. This class takes place immediately following individual instrumental tuition sessions.
Our curriculum combines solo instrumental tuition with ensemble practice. This approach allows students to develop personal technique alongside critical listening, ensemble awareness, and stage collaboration skills.
合奏课安排在器乐课之后进行。每次合奏课时长：1小时15分钟 器乐合奏和要求学员们具有至少一个3-4级中国乐器考级证或相当与此的水平, 并不特别要求有合奏经验. 为学生在学习个人演奏技巧的同时，逐步培养合奏意识、聆听, 配合能力与舞台演出合作能力。

Group class minimum 5 participants, later enrolment is possible.

Attendees need to bring their own instruments (Only a limited number of guzheng zithers and dulcimer etc may be available for hire at a modest cost first come first serve)

Fees include teaching materials. A limited number of instruments are available for sale and hire. 学费包括提供电子教材，并有部分乐器可以出租和购买。

£330 per course (10% concessions), £220 Ensemble classes (50% off for people who are also taking one of the above instruments courses). The tuition fee includes the provision of electronic learning materials. Some instruments are available for hire and purchase.
LYQS members enjoy a 10% discount on tuition fees. Please contact us if you want to join membership.
