The UK Chinese Music Ensemble, founded in 1998, is a versatile group of virtuoso musicians who have performed many hundreds of concerts, festivals, and workshops throughout the UK and Europe.  

The Ensemble performs in several instrumental configurations, including Silk and Bamboo (strings and wind) and Silk Breeze (Chinese-Western mixed ensemble), and performs both traditional and contemporary repertoires.  They have published many CDs and provided the soundtrack for numerous film and TV productions including Wild China, Disney’s Mulan, Shanghai Noon, Shangqi - The Legend of Ten Rings, and Dr Who.
