Ink-painting

Ink-painting, ‘Guohua’, is China’s national style of painting with over two millennia of history.  It uses brush, ink and rice paper to create vivid and imaginative images. Subjects are often found in nature and include landscapes, flowers and birds. It requires the use of form to reflect the sprit and meaning of the subject.

China Arts offers out-reach classes on ink- painting to schools, universities and communities and can provide artists to paint images on paper and fans for specific events.
